The Do-It-All Cheer Sneaker is a product directed specifically towards cheerleaders who are able to tumble. The point of this idea is to gain better feedback on your tumbling than an instructor would be able to give you. Also, if you're tumbling by yourself, The Do-It-All Cheer Sneaker will be able to let you know how you're doing.
The way it will work is through a chip that is placed inside the sneaker. The chip is located in the arch of the shoe and will not be removable. Once the shoe has been purchased, the tumbler will then download an application on their smart phone that will wirelessly receive the data being sent from the chip. The technology is similar to the technology of the nike running sneaker with the chip. This is the technology of the future in athletics.
The ideas of this product have evolved tremendously from the start. At first, the chip was going to be removable. Instead of having the data being wirelessly sent to a smart phone through an application, the chip was going to be inserted into a small device the size of an iTouch. This device was only able to provide the tumbler with the feedback from five tumbling passes at a time, but now it does so much more than that. The information being sent to the phone will not need to be deleted because it has enough memory.
This sneaker does not compare to other cheer sneakers. It has all the technologies of the other sneakers and more. It is very fitted in order for the person to feel as though they're tumbling bare-footed. There is plenty of support on the bottom of the shoe so that the person's foot does not get sore from all the aggressive contact it makes with the floor. Last but not least... it has the chip to record rebounds and movement to tell you how far you're off from where you should be. It allows you to track your progress so that you can improve over time.
In order to make this possible, it needs to become well known. This can happen through cheerleader magazines and also through social media. Once a few cheerleading teams discover the shoe, it will spread like wildfire.
Your idea sounds great. Just a thought that you could think about expanding this product even more by including dance teams and gymnasts. Of course, you may want to start out this way, but in the future once the shoe becomes popular in this community, it might be worth developing into other sports and applicable activities, as well.
ReplyDeleteI don't know too much about cheerleaders, but being a football player I think this idea should not be limited to just cheerleading. There are many times i would like to know about my footwork when I break down in running a route, or when i plant to make a quick, lateral cut. I think you would be able to slightly alter this idea so that every sport can benefit from this idea.
